Over a career spanning 40 years, Tom Abrahamson has helped hundreds of colleges define their brands and grow their enrollment. He spent more than two decades at higher education marketing agency Lipman Hearne, serving as the firm’s CEO, and chairman. Prior to Lipman Hearne, Abrahamson worked at three universities as an administrator, including nine years at DePaul University in Chicago — his last position as associate vice president for enrollment management and dean of admissions. He is very active in higher education and nonprofit leadership. He has served on the American Marketing Association’s (AMA’s) board of directors, is currently a member of the AMA’s Foundation board of advisers, and immediate past chair of the board of trustees of Dominican University. Abrahamson co‐authored the book Net Proceeds: Increased Revenue from Enrollment and Advancement ‐ Guaranteed!, published by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
